Why is my faucet dripping even when it’s turned off?
A dripping faucet usually comes down to worn internal components — cartridges, washers, or O-rings that have degraded over time and no longer create a watertight seal. In single-handle faucets, a failing cartridge is the most common culprit. In two-handle faucets, worn seat washers are usually to blame. Replacing the right part stops the drip completely.
Can you repair any type of faucet, or do I need a replacement?
Most faucet repairs are straightforward if the internal components are still intact. A faucet that is dripping, running slowly, or has a stiff handle can usually be fixed without replacing the whole unit. How long does faucet installation take?
